Spring

Spring is a great time of year. The earth stretches it's arms and the slumber of winter is exchanged for eager anticipation of the things to come. Plants begin to stir and the sense of urgency is tangible in the air as all creation surges once again in the cyclical dance of the seasons.

One of my favorite plants to usher in spring is the forsythia. This beautiful bush is always a warm reminder that longer days and better weather are just around the corner. With it's bright yellow flowers that bloom before the green foliage appears, it breaks the silence of winter in a commanding way.
